Lyn Blackney is described as a jack of all trades. Lyn spent the first 8 years of her working life as a Stenographer for a law firm. From there, she moved to Personal Assistant to the Regional Manager, at Riverina Region, NSW Public Works. It was during this time that she found her love for accounts and all things clerical- commencing as a Debtors Clerk and progressing up to Assistant Regional Finance Officer. After 9 years with the Public Works, there was a merge of the two Regional Offices and with her family's reluctance to relocate, she went for a change of career working as a Reservations Clerk for a local airline before getting back into the public service as a Client Service Officer with NSW Dept of Housing. After spending 3 years managing a portfolio of some 200 properties in the Region, Lyn gained the position of Campus Administration Manager for a NSW TAFE College.
In 2001 the family decided it was time for a "sea change" and made the move to the Gold Coast where Lyn and her husband purchased the management rights of a 40-unit complex. For the next 3 years, Lyn worked part time looking after the trust account for an independent real estate agency. This she did for almost 10 years.
For the past 10 years, Lyn has enjoyed working as Sales Administrator and as an all-rounder for the Ray White Mian Group.
